Speed up your note-taking with reusable snippets and templates.

Phrases are reusable texts you can insert into session notes with just a few clicks. A phrase can be as long or as short as you’d like and include formatting. This makes it a pretty powerful concept for wide variety of tasks. For instance:

  • Note templates: pull up a complete outline for you note in less than a second and keep a coherent structure across notes.

  • Often used paragraphs: stop typing the same sentences over and over.

  • Letterheads and signatures: insert pre-formatted and filled sections for letters.

Create a custom phrase

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar menu and then Phrases.

  2. Click + New phrase and fill it with the preferred text.

Using phrases

  1. Navigate to a client note: Click Clients in the sidebar and choose a client or create a new one.

  2. Open a note draft or create a new. Place the curser in the body of the document and press the torn paper icon in the formatting menu below the text.

  3. Find the phrase you want and click on it or press enter ↵

Pro tips

⌨️ Keyboard shortcut: Whenever you write a period after a space the menu will appear. Try it yourself: in a note draft, press the spacebar followed by the period key.

🔎 Filter results: When the menu is active, you can type to filter the displayed results. For instance, if you start to type “nat”, it will suggest National Identification Number. Use the arrow keys move up/down the list and click enter ↵ to insert it the selected option.
