This guide continues from Part 1: Getting started with Payments.
Verification, also known as Know Your Customer (KYC), ensures that individuals are who they claim to be. This step is required by all providers of banking services to prevent money laundering and other financial crimes.
Start Verification
Click the "Start Verification" button. This will take you to a page showing an overview of the verification process. Start with the personal details and work your way through the list.
Personal Information
Fill in your name, date of birth, email, and other details. Select "My sole proprietor name" as the account holder. Click next.
Enter your home address. Click next.
Check if everything looks okay and click Submit.
Sole Proprietorship Information
Enter the information requested. If you are below the VAT threshold or covered by an industry exemption, be sure to tick the box for "I don't have a VAT number". This step is fairly well explained in the form, but don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
Bank Account Details
In this section we need information about the bank account that should receive the payouts.
Start by providing your bank account details. You need to enter both your account number and your banks sort code. You can typically find your sort code on bank statements and in your online or app banking. Many banks also print the sort code on the front or back of the bank card together with the account number.
Next you need to verify your bank account. Automatic verification is recommended, but manual verification is available if necessary.
Final steps
Sign the Service Agreement
Complete PCI DSS Questionnaire
Done! 🎉
Great job! Once you’ve filled out the form, you can safely close the window or click the “Back to konfidens.no” button.
Once the verification form is completed, it typically takes 1-3 days to process. You will receive an email notification when the verification is complete.
