This article shows you how to add a clinical executor to your account and either upload or generate your clinical will.
❗ Every practitioner should have a clinical executor and clinical will on file — this ensures continuity of care for your clients if you're ever unable to practise.
1. Navigate to Clinical Executor settings
Go to Settings, then look under the Other section for Clinical Executor.
2. Add your clinical executor's details
On the Clinical Executor page, enter your clinical executor's name and contact details, then upload your clinical will if you already have one.
3. Generate a clinical will (if you don't have one)
No clinical will yet? No problem — click the link to Konfidens' clinical will generator right from this page. It walks you through a guided, step-by-step process based on the BACP requirements.
How your clinical executor gets access
If the time ever comes when your clinical executor needs to step in, here's what happens:
They get in touch with our support team at [email protected] and let us know they're your clinical executor, requesting access to your account.
We verify their identity and check that they match the clinical executor named on your account and in your clinical will.
Once everything checks out, your clinical executor is given their own user account — they'll never need or use your sign-in credentials.
Their access is scoped to what you've agreed in your clinical will, and every action they take is logged under their own name, keeping a clear and complete audit trail.
From their own account, they can then contact your clients and carry out the agreed steps to ensure continuity of care.
