How to use the CPD feature

Learn how to log supervision, clinical hours and other CPD activities

Updated today

Konfidens comes with a built in system to neatly log and report your CPD activities. In this guide, we'll walk you through how the feature works.

Activate the CPD feature

  • Navigate to Clinic β†’ Functionality and turn on the feature called Continuing Professional Development

You will now see a new option in the main menu on the left title CPD.

Log clinical hours

Clinical hours are automatically logged based on your calendar appointments. When you add an appointment in the calendar, it will automatically show up in your CPD log categorised as "Appointment".

This only applies to the event type "Appointment", not "Activity".

To log clinical hours that are not currently present in your calendar, you can either add the appointment in your calendar, or you can manually create it directly in your CPD log by clicking + New activity (see next section).

Log supervision, courses and other CPD activities

To log any other type of CPD activity:

  1. Click on the + New activity button in the top right.

  2. Select the CPD type from the dropdown menu. If none of the pre-defined categories fit, pick Other activity at the bottom of the list.

  3. Fill out the rest of the fields and upload a certificate or file attachment if necessary (You can always edit it later).

  4. Click Add.

Delete or edit an activity

Click on the three horisontal dots to right on the activity you want to edit or delete:

View and filter your CPD log

By default, your CPD log will show all logged activities (including clinical hours).

  • To filter the activity log, click on the various filter buttons at the top of the list. You can also filter by time period.

  • To create a custom report, click on Custom and select the categories you wish to include.

  • Change the time period, by clicking on Period:

Export your CPD report

  1. Filter the report as needed

  2. Click on Print in the top right

  3. Your browsers print dialogue window will appear (this may look different depending on your browser and computer). Choose destination "Save as PDF" and click Save.
