In this guide we'll walk you through how the session notes feature works and provide you with a few time-saving tips and tricks.
How to write a note
Go to Client in the sidebar and select the desired client from the list.
Click on New Note to create a new entry.
Write the note. Everything is automatically saved continuously as you type, there is no save button.
When the note is finished, press Sign.
What does it mean to sign a note?
There is no save button when writing notes in Konfidens, everything is stored in real time, but you'll notice a button that reads "Sign".
In line with best practice for healthcare practitioners, all notes are in draft mode and can be edited as much as you like until the practitioner finishes it. Once finished, the therapist clicks the Sign button to signal that this note is an accurate representation of the session and written in line with their professional requirements. Once a note is signed, any future changes to it is logged in accordance with requloatory requirements.
Editing a signed note
Click on the three dots to the right of the card
Select "Edit Note"
You will then be asked to provide a reason for the change. This comment will not be visible anywhere, but will be logged and you can request a complete paper trail from our support team should you need it.
Add images to your notes
To add images to your note, simply drag and drop an image into the text area. You can also click the small image icon in the toolbar and select a file from your computer.
Save time with templates and text snippets
To speed up documentation you can use templates and text snippets that can quickly be inserted into the note. To insert a phrase, click the torn paper icon in the toolbar to pull up the list of your phrases. You can also open it with a keyboard shortcut, simply type a period (.) preceded by a space in the note editor.
A Few Smart Tips Along the Way
The top line of the note is the title field. You can jump to the main text using the arrow keys, line breaks, or the mouse pointer.
You can change the date on the note by clicking on the date below the title.
