Who Is This Article For?
This article applies to clinic admins and practitioners who need to log an appointment to, or remove it from, a series (for example an insurance case or sponsored courses of treatment at a charity).
Series can be used to create treatment pathways, set a maximum number of sessions, define separate invoice recipients, or manage insurance cases or sponsored courses of treatment. If you are new to series, or need to create one. Read this article about Series.
Create a New Appointment Within a Series
To link a new appointment to a series:
Click at the desired date and time in the calendar and pick the client from the dropdown.
Click the Series and service dropdown. Active Series for this clients will show up at the top of the list with an indication of the session count and limit. Pick the desired series.
Select the type of service in the secondary dropdown that appears underneath
You can also go to the client record and open the Appointments tab. Then click the plus icon to the right of the relevant series.
Change the Series for an Existing Appointment
To change the series for an appointment, go to your calendar and find the relevant appointment.
Open the appointment, edit it, and select the appropriate series from the Service and series dropdown menu.
You can also remove the appointment from a series in the same way.
⚠️ Changing the Series May Affect Invoicing
If a series is connected to a different invoice recipient, changing the series may also alter the settings in the invoicing section.
If the change would affect the recipient of a finalized invoice, the invoice must first be credited. You will be notified if this is required. Refer to the guide on how to credit an invoice.
