Change Invoice Recipient

You can set and change the invoice recipient when you create an agreement, or directly on the invoice. Normally, it is the client who receives the invoice, but in some cases, it may be desirable for family members, employers, or insurance companies to receive the invoice. In this article, we will go through how to change the invoice recipient.

This article is for administrators and practitioners in clinics that have set up payment either have insurance cases, or have set up the payment solution with the option Business or Family. You can find more about options here.

Change Invoice Recipient on an Invoice

Go to the relevant invoice, click the menu button in the top right corner, and then select Change Invoice Recipient.

Can't change the recipient on the invoice?

If an invoice is completed, sent, or paid, it must be credited first. You can then set the correct invoice recipient on the new draft.

Change Invoice Recipient for an Appointment

When you create an appointment in your calendar, you can set the invoice recipient in the side menu. You can also change this in the same place afterwards. This also affects the associated invoice of the appointment.

  1. Click on the relevant appointment in your calendar.

  2. Click the icon to change the appointment.

  3. Click Invoice Recipient in the form, and select a new invoice recipient

  4. Save the change​

Can't change the invoice recipient on the agreement?

  • If the appointment already has a completed invoice, this must be credited first. You will be notified of this.

  • If the agreement is linked to a series, and the series has a payment recipient, you must first remove or change the series linked to the agreement. This will be visible in the interface. See a separate article on how to change series on an agreement.

Standard Invoice Recipient

The standard invoice recipient is the one selected if the client books the appointment themselves, and the one automatically selected when you create a new appointment in the calendar. In most cases, it is the client themselves, but in some cases, another is selected:

  1. If the agreement is linked to a series with an invoice recipient set, this is selected. This applies to all insurance cases from Behandlernettverk, which are linked to an insurance case series. See the article Series for more information.

  2. You can add contacts on the client's Details tab. If you have set a contact of the client as the invoice recipient, they are selected as the standard invoice recipient instead of the client. See the article Other Payer for more information.

  3. If the agreement is not linked to a series with a payment recipient, and no other invoice recipient has been created for the client, the client themselves will be set as the invoice recipient.
