This article is for practitioners who have clients in other time zones, or offer video therapy internationally.
When it's 14:00 in Paris, the time is 13:00 in London. This can sometimes lead to confusion when you have international clients.
Konfidens adjusts the time shown to client / practitioner for video based therapy, by displaying different times to each of you. For us to do this accurately, we determine the time zone of the client based on the browser they book from.
Setting correct time zone for a client
When clients book appointments through online booking, the time zone is automatically set based on the location they book from.
You can find this time zone under the client profile, next to their address. Note that the timezone is only shown if the client timezone differs from yours, or if the address is in a different country.
If you create a new client manually, the time zone will appear automatically when you enter the client address.
Can't find the time zone field?
We only show the time zone field if the value is different from yours, or if the address is international.
If you can't find the field, and do not have their address, simply select a temporary international address to have the field appear. After setting the correct time zone, you may remove the address.
Booking video services uses client time zone
When booking a video session through online booking, the user sees time slots in their own local time zone.
Non-video services show therapist time zone
When the client selects a physical service, the time slots are shown in the time zone of the therapist. A callout is shown below when the time zone is different from the current time zone of the viewer.
Reminders for video sessions use client time zone
Booking confirmations and reminders for video sessions, use the time zone of the client. If the session is physical, we use the time zone of the clinic where the session happens.

Non-video sessions show therapist time zone
For non-video appointments, we assume it will happen in your time zone. For these, we therefore show the time zone of the therapist.
Invoices to do not consider client time zone
We do not change the time stamps used in invoicing and wrt. billing. All times specified in billing and on invoices, are shown in the time zone of the clinic.
